It is understood that all those who appreciate our vision and mission will uphold its values and worth.  It is also understood that time-honored traditions must be the focal point and foundation of all that we do.  The watch-word is respect and in this spirit of respect we accept that which is regarded as a legacy.  It is known that once an aspect of this legacy is compromised, our link to the past may be weakened or broken.  It is our collective responsibility to assure that our connections to hula’s rich past is well cared for.  Those who choose this path choose to become custodians of hula’s fragile culture.
